The Senior Engineer shall provide solutions to a wide range of complex problems.

In addition, the candidate must be able to manage a project from the proposal phase to system commissioning.
Training and Experience
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida
- The preferred candidate would have (ten) 10+ years of demonstrated experience in the industrial, municipal, or utility market sector.
- The candidate will be required to have experience in AutoCAD, PLC Programming, and HMI Software and configure various equipment (Network, VFD, RVSS, Instrumentation, etc.)
- Must be well-versed in the NEC, UL, IEEE, and other industry standards
- The candidate must possess good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and clients at all levels.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly.
- Technical writing shall include but not be limited to the sequence of operations, testing plans, and operator training material.
Essential Functions
- Senior project engineer for multiple projects. Ensuring deliverables are completed to quality standards, on time, and at the targeted budget.
- Assist clients with technical support via phone, remote connections, or on-site. Sometimes during holidays or weekends.
- Provide peer-level reviews on design documents.
- Review of vendor specifications and submittals.
- Provide leadership for junior team members by providing motivation, direction, and training.
- Develop scopes of work, equipment take-offs, labor estimates, and proposals for clients.
Work Conditions
- Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements are limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, tools, etc.
- The candidate must work well in a team environment to complete tasks associated with a common goal or project.
- The position may occasionally require reaching and/or working above and/or below the shoulder for supplies.
- This position will require occasional travel for commissioning, training, etc.
- Since the candidate shall be required to travel, the candidate must be able to:
- Operate a motorized vehicle.
- Identify and mitigate potential electrical and construction hazards.
- Wear appropriate PPE for any given project fieldwork, such as arc flash gear (as required), a hard hat, hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toe work boots, etc.
- Work near energized electrical equipment or hazardous equipment and machinery.
- Occasionally walk on uneven ground.
- Potentially work at heights.
- Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, some extended hours may be required to meet project deadlines.
